women and heart disease

Heart disease and stroke do not just affect men. In fact it is the leading cause of death in women globally with 8.6 million lives taken every year: this represents more than cancer, tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS and malaria combined.

Women can experience coronary heart disease differently from men:
the symptoms, progress and outcome of cardiovascular disease may not be the same. Because the specificities of heart disease and stroke in women are not well-known yet, women are more likely to be under diagnosed and undertreated than man.

The good news is, most of heart disease and stroke is preventable. You, your family and your friends can protect your heart and control the major risk factors.
Thanks to the campaign conducted together with our members, the level of awareness on

women and heart disease considerately increased in several countries, leading more and more women to take better care of their heart. In USA for example, only 30% of women recognized heart disease as their leading cause of death in 1997; today, more than 50% know their risk.

International Women’s Day Pancham Hospital Organized a Free Medical Check-Up Camp

Today on the second day of the International Women’s Day Pancham Hospital Organized a Free Medical Check-Up Camp where 250 female patients got examined and got seminar on health tips. In this seminar Dr. Kanwaljit Kaur CEO & Chief Gynaecologist, Dr. Anjali Goyal, Orho & Joint Replacement Surgeon Dr. Aseem Kapila, General & Laparoscopic Surgeon Dr. Vipan Goyal & Chief Cardiologist Dr. R.P. Singh told about the precautions to get rid of the diseases. Dr. Kanwaljit Kaur said that in today’s women is getting much powerful position in every field. Today’s Women has set new standards in every field while competing with men. Today’s Womens have made their names shining above the all like Kalpana Chawla. How can we forget World’s Youngest Women to climb Mount Everest in the age of 19Years Dicky Dolma who raised the Indian Flag on this Mountain. Today’s women us not behind in any field whether you talk of Sports, Business, Politics or Social Service. Women have achieved new heights in every field.

In India Women getting position like Sarpanch, Councillor, MLA, MP, Chief Minister, Prime Minister & President and doing a very good job in these positions. But still Partiality is being done with women. In India still people are not happy on the birth of girl but they are happy on the birth of a boy. The first Guru of Sikhs Guru Nanak Dev Ji has given much importance to the Women and also said in his writing in Punjabi that we must give importance to the women who has given birth to the emperor’s who ruled the earth. We can’t even think of the Society without women. But many saints got their birth people do unethical practice of doing abortions and killing girl child. To stop this practice females have to come forward and say no to killing of girl child. These girls make their names like Kalpana Chawla, Dicky Dolma, MC Mary Kem, Mother Teressa.
On this day Dr. Kanwaljit Kaur said that Pancham Hospital has made International Standred Operation Theaters, Dialysis Units & Ambulance With Ventilator Support. But Still the main motive of Pancham Hospital is to aware people and give them knowledge about Health Education. For this Pancham Hospital is organizing  a Free Medical Check-Up Camp for Women and will aware females with Medical Check-Up Camp & Seminar’s. This years Theme of Pancham Hospital is “ Healthy Women in a Home can Save the Family From Diseases.”
On this occasion president of Guru Gyan Vihar Welfate Society and Guru Nanak Sukhmani Sewa Society Sardarni Inderjit Kaur thanked the team of Doctors for examining the females of the society and doing awareness in Females by giving valuable Information. From now onwards, our society will organize Medical Check-Up Camps in different areas with Pancham Hospital to educate the society.
